LionCore was created as the foundational design system for CoreAI, Publicis Groupe’s proprietary AI platform. CoreAI enables employees to build modular AI workflows tailored to business needs, driving efficiency and innovation across projects. To support its scalability, we developed a comprehensive design system with over 40 components, 303 color variables, and 22 design styles—ensuring consistency and usability while allowing for flexibility across different user scenarios. The challenge was twofold: delivering a robust system for CoreAI’s MVP while establishing a framework for long-term adoption within Publicis Groupe.
Color played a crucial role in shaping CoreAI’s identity. We conducted extensive research on color psychology, referencing studies on user perception and emotional response. User testing helped validate our choices, ensuring accessibility compliance and brand alignment. To streamline implementation, I established a structured color palette in Figma, applying design tokens to maintain consistency across text, backgrounds, borders, and icons. A key hurdle was designing for users with color blindness, particularly Red-Green and Blue-Yellow deficiencies. Through iterative testing, we refined contrast and hue differentiation, ensuring an inclusive experience. Beyond the design itself, adoption across 120 designers required a structured governance model with regular check-ins and documentation on best practices. The impact was significant—LionCore’s success accelerated CoreAI’s MVP launch, helping to secure $100M in planned investments from Publicis Groupe for 2025 and $5M in new business across multiple industries. By delivering a scalable and cohesive system, we positioned CoreAI as a leader in AI-driven business solutions.
